In the July 20, 2026 Steam post Launch Weekend Plans, Oddshot stated ranked was a top community request and is planned for a future update. The studio wants current metas and gameplay to settle first—expect more playstyles, balance tuning, and bug fixes before visible MMR ladders or seasonal rewards ship.

As of July 24, 2026, competitive players use matchmaking quickplay with hidden SBMM from v0.79.0 instead of a dedicated ranked queue.

Oddshot's reasoning mirrors other skill-first sports sims: launching ranked before mechanics stabilize produces frustrating MMR swings. Early Access still ships weekly fixes—red-card extra-time bugs, netcode edge cases, and dribble-heavy metas need time to mature. A formal roadmap arrives in coming weeks per the developer post.
