v0.78.0 introduced penalties, jockey mode (Ctrl), advantage rule, golden goal extra time, and token purchases in Strikers Club.

Major Gameplay Additions

  • Penalties — Fouls in the box trigger spot kicks (later reworked in v0.80.2)

  • Extra time — Golden goal when regulation ends tied

Controls and Gameplay Tweaks

Roulette recovery shortened (0.8s→0.7s). Poke tackles steal from behind. Passback handling prevents keepers picking up self-dropped balls. Regular jump rebound to F to avoid accidental jumps. Goalie jump inputs separated for rebinding freedom.

Customization and UX

Cosmetic previews in appearance, character rotation via drag, token purchases enabled, credits menu added, controller Look Y invert setting. Removed low-visibility slots (mouth tattoo, nail polish, etc.). Demo shop removed ahead of launch.

Launch Context

Shipped before July 17 Early Access—cumulative with v0.79.0 and v0.82.0 at release. Practice jockey and advantage reads in Community Centre before ranked queues.
